3D Archive and Exhibit: 9/11 Memorial of Maryland
The 9/11 Memorial of Maryland, which sits at the foot of the Baltimore World Trade Center, was unveiled on September 11, 2011 in honor of the 68 Marylanders who lost their lives in the 9/11 terror attacks. The memorial, designed by Baltimore's Ziger/Snead architecture team, incorporates three original steel beams from the World Trade Center, three limestone blocks from the west wall of the Pentagon, and three black granite pieces representing the Flight 93 site in Shanksville, PA.
